WHY CCTV ?

CCTV in the workplace serves many legitimate business reasons such as: to monitor and improve productivity; to ensure that health and safety procedures are being followed; to keep employees safe and secure by preventing violence or theft; to aid in workplace injury investigations. CCTV systems and upgrades can carry a substantial price tag that can be hard to quantify with a typical “Return on Investment” approach.  A business will never know the cost avoidance of a workplace injury or an intentional act of sabotage to the product or equipment.  In 2010, the National Safety Council reported that the average incurred medical cost per claim for an employee slip and fall was $41,393.  CCTV offers a deterrent to acts of fraudulent workers compensation claims and employee misconduct.  When an incident has been identified, a robust CCTV system can provide as an aid in troubleshooting, investigating and ultimately prosecuting those who maliciously violate a workplace policy or law.
